The RoundSquare conference 2013, took place at Maharani Gayatri Devi Girls' School in Jaipur, Rajasthan between 17th November, 2013 to 21st November, 2013. A total of 96 delegates from different schools all over India took part in the conference, with IHS being the only school from Middle East. There were a total of 6 delegates, who took part in this conference from IHS.

The Sharjah Book Fair, on the 11thand 12thof November, 2013, much to the students' delight. "A room without books is like a body without a soul." Probably keeping this famous quote by Cicero, in mind, the students of Grade 4 of IHS Junior School had an opportunity to visit the Mega event Sharjah International Book Fair, held at the Sharjah Expo Center.

The book fair showcased a wide range of Fiction as well as Non-Fiction books on almost all the topics, such as Science, Education, Religion, Art and craft etc. A few of these authors were even invited to the Fair as Honorary Guests. There were also a lot of activities for the students to exhibit their creativity.

The students visited the Fair, accompanied by their respective class teachers. While the boys' section visited the fair on the 11th, the girls' section visited the Fair on the 12th of November. They spent 2 hours from 10 am to 12 pm, at the Fair, going through the wide range of books.

It indeed was a good exposure for the students, as they got an opportunity to not only go through the huge variety of books, but also purchase quite a few books of their choice, with the guidance of their teachers. Students bought books of different languages and also Islamic books. Some even bought books for their siblings. Parents were happy seeing their children read books and spend less time on T.V. Melissa, a student of Grade 4 F, expressed her gratitude to the school saying, "Our school has surely given us a wonderful opportunity to explore books of different views."
