Students showcase their potential at the Annual Talent's Day celebrations

In the words of Larry bird, "A winner is someone who recognises his God given talent, works his tail off to develop them into skills, and uses these skills to accomplish his goals".

In order to display the talents, the student council of grade 11 & 12 organised the Talents Day Programme on 20th May, 2013, at the Sheikh Rashid auditorium. The event was initiated by Mrs. Kanta Bhatia, Mrs. Sanjana Saxena & Mrs. Upma Sharma. Almost every student from each class enthusiastically took part in the competitions at the Talent's Day. Students competed in competitions like dance, quiz, solo mash up, stand-up comedy, movie making and drama.

The program began with a quiz competition, which tickled the brains of the six teams that comprised of students from grade 11 and 12. Students tackled the questions posed to them well. The audience too made the day well by answering questions that the competitors could not answer. Overall the students of grade 12 were successful in being the champions beating grade 11 by a whopping 65 marks.
The quiz competition was then followed by the fillers such as the stand-up comedy, which lifted the spirits of the audience. The solo mash up too got the audience grooving to the wonderful selection of songs.

It was then time for the most awaited competition of all, the dance competition. Several spectacular dances were put up by the students. The tribute to NIRBHAYA, performed by the 12th Grade students, drove the audience as well as the judges to tears. Even our CEO could not hold himself back. The judges panel that seated Mrs. Anna Jessy John, senior Chemistry teacher, Mrs. Sripriya Vengaserri, senior English teacher, and Mrs. Roshini Alex, senior business teacher, too were enthralled at the amazing performances that were put forward by the students and had to put on their thinking caps to choose the winners. The first position in the grade 12 category was awarded to 12 commerce B who astounded the audience with their heart wrenching tribute to the brave heart 'DAMINI' while the first position in the Grade 11 category was awarded to 11 Science B who scared the audience as well as the judges with their blood curdling performance.

The dance competition was then followed by the movie making competition, which was also the last segment of the day. It was amazing to see how the students came up with excellent ideas and compiled it all in a 10 minute, short movie. The first position in grade 11 category was awarded to 11 Science B, who amazed the audience with their creativity while the first position in the grade 12 category was awarded to 12 Commerce B, who beautifully portrayed how students succumb to the horror of bullying.

In a congratulatory note from Mrs. Latika Narain, supervisor of grade 11 and 12 girls, she even mentioned, "I respect the true spirit possessed by those who could not make it to the prize and have put up a grand show."
